What Our Pest Control Service Covers
Last updated: October 2026
South Dakota Pest Pros provides the pest control work described in your estimate or service agreement. Depending on the approved plan, work may include inspection, treatment of listed pests, and recommendations for reducing conditions that attract them.
We will explain any preparation or access needed before service. Exclusions and limits, such as areas that cannot be safely reached or pests not named in the agreement, will be identified when known.
Wildlife removal, structural repairs, cleaning, and services outside the approved pest-control scope require a separate agreement.
Pesticides are used according to their labels and applicable law, including FIFRA, South Dakota Codified Laws Chapter 38-21, and South Dakota Administrative Rules Chapter 12:56. Applicators must hold required South Dakota commercial licenses.
We follow applicable EPA container-disposal instructions and workplace hazard communication requirements, including OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200. Relevant local public-health requirements, including Sioux Falls rules when applicable, also apply.
Setting, Changing, or Canceling a Visit
Appointments are arranged with you by phone, email, or another agreed method. We will confirm the scheduled date or arrival window and any access or preparation instructions.
Please make sure an adult can provide access when needed, secure pets, and follow the preparation steps shared for the service. If you need to cancel or change an appointment, contact us as soon as possible using the details in these terms.
Any cancellation charge or other consequence will apply only if it was disclosed in your agreement or appointment confirmation.
Weather, safety concerns, access problems, or other circumstances may require us to reschedule; we will contact you to arrange another time. If inspection reveals that the requested work differs from the approved scope, we will explain the change and any price adjustment before proceeding. We will not perform added work or charge for it without your approval, except where a separately agreed plan clearly authorizes the work.
Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment
An estimate describes the work we understand you have requested, its stated price, and any listed conditions or exclusions. It is based on the information available at the time and may need revision if inspection reveals different pest activity, access conditions, or service needs.
We will explain a proposed change and obtain your approval before performing work beyond the agreed scope. An estimate is not approval for additional services unless you accept those services.
Payment is due according to the timing and method stated in your written estimate, service agreement, or invoice. Please review those documents for any deposit, balance, or payment instructions; no price or financing offer is created by these general terms.
If a question arises about a charge, contact us promptly and identify the service or invoice involved. You remain responsible for undisputed amounts under the agreement.
Applicable taxes or other charges, if any, will be shown in the estimate or invoice before payment is due.
What to Expect About Service Coverage
Any service warranty, retreatment commitment, or other workmanship coverage applies only when it is stated in writing in your estimate or service agreement. These general terms do not create a warranty, promise a particular pest-free period, or set a standard coverage duration.
The written document should identify the covered pest or service, how long coverage lasts, and what steps you must take to request follow-up work. Contact us if those details are unclear before approving service.
Coverage may depend on access, preparation, following treatment instructions, and conditions at the property. A written agreement may exclude new infestations, pests outside the listed scope, untreated areas, or conditions beyond our control.
Changes to the property or failure to follow required instructions may also affect coverage if the agreement says so. We will explain applicable limits in the service paperwork; no exclusion should be assumed unless it is included there. Statutory rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
Caleb Larson
Service Expert at South Dakota Pest Pros
I started in pest control in Sioux Falls, where freeze-thaw cycles, older basements, and homes near open ground can bring very different pest problems through the year. I built this company to give South Dakota property owners clear inspections and treatment plans suited to local conditions, not one-size-fits-all answers.
Responsibility and Limits on Claims
To the extent allowed by law, South Dakota Pest Pros’ responsibility for a claim arising from a particular service is limited to the amount paid for that service. This limit does not apply where the law prohibits it, or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, or problems unrelated to our work, unless applicable law provides otherwise. Please tell us promptly about a concern and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect the affected area.
Pesticide use must follow product labeling and applicable federal and South Dakota requirements, including FIFRA, South Dakota Codified Laws Chapter 38-21, and South Dakota Administrative Rules Chapter 12:56. Work is performed by appropriately licensed commercial applicators as required.
Applicable safety duties, including OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, are observed. Nothing here changes required EPA pesticide-container disposal instructions or other legal obligations. These terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot be restricted under applicable law.
Questions About These Terms
For questions about these terms, a service agreement, or a scheduled visit, contact South Dakota Pest Pros at (855) 681-0299 or [email protected]. You may also write to 300 N Dakota Ave, Suite 200, Sioux Falls, SD, United States. Please include your name and enough information to identify the estimate, invoice, or service so we can respond clearly.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be made available through our website or provided upon request, and we will communicate material changes through an appropriate notice, such as a website posting or direct message when relevant to an active service relationship.
A change will not retroactively alter completed work. If an update affects a future appointment or agreement, the applicable terms will be identified before the affected work proceeds. Your rights under applicable law are not waived by these terms.
